Christmas 2012

We had a wonderful Christmas in Breck. The kids had been sick for the past two weeks and were finally feeling better. Noa was so excited for Christmas. He asked me every morning for 2 weeks if Christmas was coming today or tomorrow. We closed the restaurant late on the 23rd and headed up to Breck early on Christmas Eve. All the family was already up at the mountain house…my parents, Audrey, Lisa (and boyfriend Marc), John, Christian’s parents, Jackie, Luis, Sophie and Thiago. We had a full and lively house.

Noa was a blast. He knew all the Christmas songs and stories. He marveled at every present and ornament. Lisa hid in the trees and rang jingle bells while the kids were on the patio. Sophie yelled “I hear Santa’s sleigh”. After that Noa was sure he saw reindeer flying through the trees. On Christmas morning we woke Noa up and gave him his robot. It was the only thing he asked for. He hugged it and named him “Rosco”. We headed downstairs and the presents started to pile up in front of him. We handed him the next present and he said “thank you but I already got my present”. It didn’t take him long to figure out he was just getting started!

We spent the day relaxing, chatting and playing in the snow. It was perfect. Felipe was happy as can be being past from lap to lap and batting at his new toys. We got a chance to rest and eat and enjoy the family. It’s been almost a week and Noa still wakes up every morning and asks if Christmas is ready to come back yet. I have to admit I wish everyday was Christmas too!
